FileZilla Client: Free FTP Software for Windows

FileZilla Client is a free, open-source FTP program for moving files between a Windows PC and a remote machine. Alongside plain FTP it handles FTP over TLS (FTPS) and SFTP, keeps a resumable transfer queue, and stores the connections you use often. These pages explain the software in plain language and walk through the parts people actually get stuck on.

This is an independent reference, not the FileZilla Project's own website. Nothing is hosted here: every download button opens the project's official download pages.

Download the software

Not sure which build you need? The client download page compares the 64-bit installer with the portable archive, and installing FileZilla on Windows covers setup from first click to first launch.

Running your own FTP server

The other half of the project, FileZilla Server, turns a Windows machine into an FTP and FTPS host. Read configuring FileZilla Server on Windows for users, shares, TLS and firewall ports, or go straight to the server download options.

Where official support lives

Bug reports and host-specific questions belong with the project itself: the discussion forum, the documentation wiki and the issue tracker. Our support page explains what to include in a report.
